A documentary focusing on the social and economic changes in Shangri-la, China. With development rapidly changing the landscape, historical landmarks are being removed to make way for luxury hotel. Fake “old towns” are being created to attract more tourist. This documentary shows the rapid development and the issues that arise when old meets new.
Walmart Store #1990
Focusing on the impact one Walmart store has the historical commerce of Delaware, OH. This film narrates the processes Walmart must take before being allowed to build a store and how they usual overcome all obstacles in their way. Walmart destroys local businesses but creates hundreds of jobs. Can a comfortable medium be reached?
