Hello,
My name is William Ruzek. I am a recent graduate with a B.A. in Geography/GIS from Ohio Wesleyan University. I have a love for geography and GIS related work. I am currently an intern with the GIS Department of Manitowoc County, WI. I have experience working at the Ohio Wesleyan University GIS lab supporting academic mapping projects, and with the China Exploration and Research Society (CERS) developing ecotourism maps. I enjoy integrating satellite, aerial and GPS ground based data using GIS platforms and Google Earth. I have constructed various types of maps, from hiking trail maps in rural China for ecotourism brochures to GIS databases for county assessors. I am available for employment and interested in a variety of work involving geospatial data collection and analysis, such as GIS services for rural communities and developing countries, GPS/GIS data collection in the field, and remote sensing to help understand human development.
